Casa de Folklore's artisans use sustainable wood, primarily red willow from moisture-rich valleys, harvested in autumn and winter. Lime is also used, while harder woods like maple, ash, or beech are reserved for robust items. Red willow, valued for ease of shaping and its natural antiseptic properties. Ash, resistant to water, is preferred for kitchen tools, while lime adds sweetness to flavours. Maple, with its radiant fiber, is used for non-food items.
